In a departure from our regular venue Rib Ticklers Comedy Club are delighted to present Mark Thomas at the Merlin Theatre, Frome.
Comedian, presenter, political activist and reporter Mark Thomas first became known as a comic on BBC Radio 1’s The Mary Whitehouse Experience; having won the Time Out comedy award he went on to present BBC Radio 1’s Loose Talk, is a founder member of the London Comedy Store’s hard-hitting Cutting Edge show and later gained much praise (and notoriety with some) for his direct-challenge political stunts on his ground-breaking Channel 4 show, The Mark Thomas Comedy Product .
Following his sell-out nationwide show ‘The Manifesto’, award-winning comedian Mark now returns with his brand new show: EXTREME RAMBLING: WALKING THE WALL.
Never one to take the easy option, Mark decided to go rambling in the Middle East and walked the entire length of the Israeli Separation Barrier crossing between the Israeli and the Palestinian side.
This is the story of 300 000 settlers; a 750 km wall; six arrests, one stoning; too much hummus and a simple question… “Can you ever get away from it all with a good walk?”
